On this page you will find some of the most common questions we have been asked over our 40 years of providing on-site catering services across Long Island and Manhattan. We also recommend you see our Terms and Conditions page for more information.


Q: WHERE DO YOU PROVIDE YOUR CATERING SERVICES?

A: At the location of you choice - beit located in Nassau or Suffolk Counties on Long island or Brooklyn and Queens Boroughs of NYC and Manhattan Island. Please inquire if you need delivery or on-site cooking and serving outside these areas.

Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY PARTY/EVENT?

A. As soon as possible. While we do book last minute catering for funerals occasions, or unexpected last-minute gatherings, please note that Spring, Summer and Fall dates fill up quickly.  

Q: HOW DO I RESERVE MY DATE?

A: We require a 25% deposit & signed contract on file to secure your event date. Alterations to guest attendance, menu can be performed up and until seven days prior to your event date. Due to increasing costs & changing compliance regulations for processing credit cards. A 4% process fee will be assessed on all Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card & AMEX transactions. No process fee will be assessed on payments made by Debit Card or any other form of payment.

*Please note that due to the unstable prices of food and supply chain issues, pricing for all parties will be estimated and not finalized until 30 days before the event. We will make every effort to commute price changes as they occur and discuss options, to keep your event within your budget.

Q: CAN YOU PROVIDE REFERENCES?

A: Most definitely! Word of mouth is our best form of advertising. We invite you to check out our review on Google, Facebook, Yelp and others.

Q: WILL I BE PROVIDED WITH A WRITTEN PROPOSAL?

Yes, after you have reviewed our catering menu options, please contact our office. We will answer any questions you may have. You will receive a formal proposal outlining your food selections, and any other charges associated with your menu contract. This will be forwarded to you by email.

Q: DO YOU OFFER TASTE TESTING?

A: Yes. Simply call us at 1 (516) 797-5539 and we'll be happy to assist you in organizing a date and time for a tasting at our commercial location in Hauppauge, NY. You will meet our Catering Chef Jason, who will be pleased to answer any questions in addition to offering his expertise regarding menu options. A tasting fee is required and varies based on what you would like to try. Please note however any fee charged for the tasting will be deducted from the total bill should you decide to book your affair or gathering with us. We are confident that you'll not only love our food but also that you will feel completely comfortable with your decision to use AAA Royal Catering for your special event.

Q. WHAT IF THE WEATHER TURNS BAD FOR MY OUTDOOR PARTY/EVENT?

A. Do not worry! We’ve been catering for over 40 years and have not had any disasters. In most cases, our customers simply opt to move their gathering indoors but for gathering that are at public parks or other locations where there is no indoor facility, we recommend renting a tent in advance to accommodate your guests. We can usually postpone or delay our arrival time. It all depends upon your needs and the prep time we need for the food and services you have ordered. (Refer to Terms and Conditions page for more clarification).

Q: WHAT HAPPENS TO ANY LEFTOVER FOOD?

A: After our service is complete, at the client’s request; our staff will package up any remaining cooked food requested by client. Please note: Once our staff has left your premise/venue, AAA Royal Catering cannot be held liable for improper food safety handling including safe storage or consuming of food items later.

By accepting Catering Contract/Verification via Email when reserving your event with AAA Royal Catering, the Client acknowledges having read our terms and conditions and accepts all liability for safe food handling and its consumption thereafter after contracted event terms are completed.

Q: CAN I PLACE ONE OF MY OWN SPECIAL DISHES (or a guests dish) ON YOUR BUFFET?

A: This is alright with us, but you will be responsible for safe, proper storage/display.

Q: WHAT IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE FEE ON MY CONTRACT/INVOICE FOR?

A: The 18% Administrative Service Fee applies to all BBQ catered events using cooking equipment. This fee covers everything from the labor to produce the food for your event, wear and tear and maintenance on catering equipment, delivery of equipment, insurance expenses, to the time we spend designing and revising your menu. We always give you every ounce of necessary energy to make your event an absolute success and are happy to assist you in any way possible to make your event planning easy and without the typical stress associated with orchestrating your event.

Q: IS GRATUITY/TIP PART OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE FEE?

A: Administrative Service Fee is not a gratuity that is shared among on-site catering staff. Clients should not feel obliged to offer a gratuity for good service. However, it is common practice to extend Gratuity to your onsite staff in recognition of their exceptional service in making your event a grand success. If you have any questions, please speak to your Catering Coordinator.

Q: ARE THE PRICES DISPLAYED ON THE WEBSITE GUARANTEED?

A: Prices listed on the website are subject to change at any time without notice. AAA Royal Catering will not be held liable for any website price changes or for price changes that have taken place but have not yet been reflected on the website. Website prices must be verified by AAA Royal Catering with the customer.

Q: CAN YOU MAKE SPECIAL MEALS FOR RELIGIOUS OR DIETARY NEED? WHAT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES?

A: Yes we can. Please be sure to advise us of any special needs and we will be happy to accommodate you and your guest's needs. If you or your guests have any allergies to any foods, please be sure to advise us during the booking process.
